This savory rub adds a nice, slightly sweetened flavor to pork. My family really enjoys it on ribs, chops, pork loin, etc.

yield Covers about 4 chops, or ribs, or 1 2 pound pork loin.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons paprika, sweet mild
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard powder
  • 1 teaspoon basil, dried
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 - 1/2 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper, or same amount liquid hot sauce

How To Make low carb pork rub

  • Step 1
    If using liquid hot sauce, rub this into meat first. IF using Cayenne powder, combine with below ingredients.
  • Step 2
    In a small bowl stir to combine Cayenne powder (if using), paprika, chili powder, garlic & onion powders, dry mustard, basil & salt.
  • Step 3
    Rub powdered seasoning mixture well into both sides of meat.
  • Step 4
    Cook or grill as desired.
