layered ham and potato casserole

This is a great dish to use some of your left over ham from Easter. This will be taste delight! I can promise you compliments on this one! Everyone enjoys it...even children!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound baked ham, sliced thin
  • 7 - medium potatoes, peeled and sliced thin
  • 1/3 - mild onion, minced
  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 3/4 cup sour cream
  • 2 - heaping tablespoons dijon mustard
  • 6 ounces grated cheese, your choice or a mixture of cheddar and monterey jack
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper

How To Make layered ham and potato casserole

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Grease a 2-quart casserole.
  • Step 2
    In a medium bowl, combine whipping cream, sour cream, mustard, pepper, minced onion and 1 cup of grated cheese. Set aside.
  • Step 3
    Beginning and ending with the potatoes, layer with ham in the casserole dish.
  • Step 4
    Pour the cream mixture over the layers. Bake 1 hour and 20 minutes. Remove from oven and add the remaining 1/2 cup of grated cheese. Return to oven to brown the cheese...about 8 minutes.
