Ingredients
- 1/2 pound hot italian sausage, crumbled
- 1/2 pound ground beef
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 tablespoons garlic, minced
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 3/4 teaspoon red pepper, crushed
- 2 teaspoons oregano, dried
- 1 teaspoon basil, dried
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1/2 pound rotini pasta
- (1) 15 ounces can stewed tomatoes, italian or fire roasted
- 2 heaping tablespoons tomato paste,
- 1/2 cup ricotta cheese
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
- 2 1/2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
How To Make lasagna casserole

Step 1In a large stock pot, add olive oil, sausage & ground beef; brown.

Step 2Add onion & garlic, saute with meat about 2 minutes. Add crushed red pepper, saute another minute.

Step 3Stir in chicken broth, stewed tomatoes, tomato paste, rotini pasta,oregano, basil, salt & pepper. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and let simmer til pasta is tender.

Step 4In a bowl combine ricotta, parmesan & mozzrella cheeses. Preheat your broiler.

Step 5Place Lasagna mixture in a large casserole, top with cheese mixture. Place under broiler for a few minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly. Enjoy with crusty bread or garlic bread sticks.
