larapin' meatloaf

I have made my meatloaf the same way for over 40 years.I thought I would mix it up a little this time & we love it even better.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound deerburger or hamburger
  • 1 pound bulk italian sausage
  • 1/2 - onion, chopped
  • 1/2 - bellpepper, chopped
  • 2 - eggs
  • 1 cup fiber one cereal, coarsely chopped in food processor (measure before chopping)
  • 1 cup stewed tomatoes
  • - montreal steak seasoning on top
  • SAUCE:
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon prepared mustard
  • 4 dashes worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed

How To Make larapin' meatloaf

  • Step 1
    Mix all ingredients together in large casserole dish or loaf pan.
  • Step 2
    Pat to form in the pan.
  • Step 3
    Sprinkle generously with Montreal Steak Seasoning.
  • Step 4
    Bake, uncovered, in 400° oven for about 40 minutes or until internal temperature is around 170°
  • Step 5
    Mix up the sauce & pour over meatloaf evenly.
  • Step 6
    Return to oven & bake another 25 minutes until it thickens.
  • Step 7
    Remove from oven & let rest for about 10 minutes to firm up.
  • Step 8
    Serve with any type of potatoes,& a fresh veggie
