Ingredients

  • 1 package polska kielbasa
  • 2 pounds head of red cabbage
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 - onion, chopped
  • 2 - apples, granny smith
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • - ground pepper
  • 3 tablespoons white sugar
  • 3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar

How To Make kielbasa with braised red cabbage

  • Step 1
    Slice kielbasa into 1 inch pieces, Core and chop the cabbage and peeled apples.
  • Step 2
    Heat oil in a medium saucepan. Stir in cabbage and onion, fry until wilted. Stir in apple and water , salt and pepper, Cover and simmer 25 minutes.
  • Step 3
    Pour vinegar and sugar into the mixture while tasting for desired sweet and sour taste,.Cook another 5-6 minutes.
  • Step 4
    In skillet, fry kielbasa until heated through . You can either combine it with the cabbage to serve, or serve separately.
