    polska kielbasa
  • 2 lb
    head of red cabbage
  • 2 Tbsp
    vegetable oil
  • 1
    onion, chopped
  • 2
    apples, granny smith
  • 2 Tbsp
  • 1 1/2 tsp
  • ·
    ground pepper
  • 3 Tbsp
    white sugar
  • 3 Tbsp
    balsamic vinegar

How to Make Kielbasa with braised red cabbage


  1. Slice kielbasa into 1 inch pieces, Core and chop the cabbage and peeled apples.
  2. Heat oil in a medium saucepan. Stir in cabbage and onion, fry until wilted. Stir in apple and water , salt and pepper, Cover and simmer 25 minutes.
  3. Pour vinegar and sugar into the mixture while tasting for desired sweet and sour taste,.Cook another 5-6 minutes.
  4. In skillet, fry kielbasa until heated through . You can either combine it with the cabbage to serve, or serve separately.
