Ingredients

  • 1 package 8 ounce brown and serve sausage links
  • 1 - sm box orange gelatin
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon minced onion
  • - juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 teaspoon grated lemon zest
  • 1 1/4 pounds cooked yams
  • 1 can 1 lb 4 oz sliced pineapple, drained
  • - salt and pepper to taste

How To Make jiffy yam and sausage skillet

  • Step 1
    in large skillet prepare sausage according to directions. and remove.
  • Step 2
    in same skillet, combine, gelatin,water, sugar, butter,onion, salt, lemon juice, and peel. bring to a boil stirring constantly.
  • Step 3
    add yams and pineapple, reduce heat, simmer 15 minutes basting frequently
  • Step 4
    add sausage, simmer another 5 minutes, basting frequently.
