fresh sliced mushrooms
2 Tbsp
olive oil
boneless pork loin chops, 3/4"-thick
2 tsp
minced garlic
1 c
onion, chopped
14.5 oz can diced tomatoes, undrained
1-1/2 tsp
dried italian herb blend
1/2 tsp
1/4 tsp
1 small
green bell pepper, cut into strips
1 small
red bell pepper, cut into strips

How to Make Italian-style pork chops


  • 1Heat 1 tsp oil in lg skillet over medium heat. Stir in mushrooms. Cook, stirring until tender. Transfer to a bowl.
  • 2Heat 2 tbsp oil in skillet over medium heat. Add pork chops and brown on both sides about 7-10 min each side. Place chops on plate. Drain all but 1 tbsp drippings from skillet.
  • 3Stir in garlic and onion. Cook about 5 mins, or until onion is tender. Pour in tomatoes, italian herbs, salt and pepper. Place chops back in skillet. Cover, simmer 30 mins. Uncover, top chops w/ mushrooms and bell peppers. Cook another 10 mins.
