This is a recipe I wrote and cooked for the first time last night. My husband loved it, I will be cooking it again.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb
    ground italian sausage
  • 6
    roasted red peppers(in jar)
  • 2-3 clove
    garlic, chopped or grated
  • 1/4 c
    balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 c
    extra virgin olive oil
  • 2-3 Tbsp
    honey
  • 1/4
    onion,chopped
  • 1/4 c
    fresh basil, chopped
  • 1-(12) oz
    short cut pasta
  • ·
    salt and peppper to taste

How to Make Italian Sausage and Roasted Red Pepper Pasta

Step-by-Step

  1. Cook pasta according to package. Brown sausage until done. In food processor add peppers, garlic, vinegar, salt and pepper. Turn processor on and drizzle in honey and olive oil, process until smooth. Combine sausage, pepper mixture and basil with drained pasta. Return to heat just to get the mixture heated through.
