italian sausage and peppers
I picked up a variety of sausages at Usinger's in Milwaukee, including Italian. This is my version of one of their recipes.

Ingredients
- 1-2 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 large green pepper
- 1 large onion
- 12-16 ounces Italian sausage
- 1 jar marinara sauce or similar (about 28 oz)
- 1 clove grated garlic, or equivalent garlic granules
- 1 teaspoon Italian herb seasoning
- salt and pepper, to taste
- shredded Parmesan, to serve
How To Make italian sausage and peppers

Step 1Slice peppers into strips, cut onions into slices. Heat oil in a large pot and add peppers and onions, saute until limp.

Step 2Either slice sausages or remove from casing and crumble. Add to peppers and onions and stir until browned or no pink shows.

Step 3Add spaghetti sauce and seasonings, and simmer together for 30 minutes.

Step 4Sprinkle with Parmesan to serve - either over pasta or in a hoagie-type roll.
