I got this recipe from my mom years ago. I can't remember where she got it from though?

pork chops, boneless
2 Tbsp
1 Tbsp
sunflower oil
medium onions sliced thin
red bell pepper diced
green bell pepper diced
2 clove
fresh garlic minced
4 c
sliced mushrooms
2 c
chopped cooked plum tomatoes with juices
1 tsp
marjoram, dried
1/2 tsp
oregano, dried
1/2 tsp
thyme, dried
salt and pepper to tastes

How to Make Italian pork chops


  • 1Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
  • 2Place the pork chops in a large skillet with the water and cook over medium heat until the water evaporates and chops begin to brown
  • 3Remove chops to a large, shallow baking dish and arrange into one layer.
  • 4Heat the oil in a large skillet, when oil shimmers add the onions and peppers. Cook until the onions are translucent, then add the garlic. Stir over medium heat for 2-3 minutes.
  • 5Add the mushrooms and cook until they release their liquids and the liquids have evaporated.
  • 6In a blender combine the tomatoes with the dried spices and blend on medium until the mixture is smooth, combine with the onions mixture in skillet
  • 7Pour the tomato and onion mixture over the pork chops. Cover dish with foil and bake for 1 hour. remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes
