holiday ham glaze
This is a ham glaze that my sister in law made for us on Easter last year. It is an amazing recipe and now the only way I can eat my spiral hams.

Ingredients
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon mustard
- 2 tablespoons all purpose flour
- 1/4 cup pineapple juice (from can of pinapples)
- - pineapple slices
- - maraschino cherries optional - (we did not use)
How To Make holiday ham glaze
-
Step 1Combine brown sugar mustard and flour in small sauce pan til blended. Add pineapple juice and mix thouroughly. once everything is blended - spread mixture over ham (she used a basting brush - which got every crevice) about 1/2 hour before ham has finished baking
-
Step 2Remove from oven and pour off drippings for later use. decorate with pineapple slices (and cherries halves if used -we skipped this step) in the centers they may be secured with toothpicks return to oven for 30 minutes to allow glaze to set
-
Step 3Then take the left over glaze and heat it up on the stove, add drippings from above and continue to heat on low. This is used for topping for other items or to add more to ham when plated (she used on carrots too)
-
Step 4When serving the ham she put on a plate and poured a little over the top so it was on every piece :) and it looked pretty :)
