Sorry I don't have photos yet (my cell takes crummy pics!)! My hubby really likes this on cold days and you can freeze any leftovers for lunches!

Ingredients

  • 3 pounds boneless pork roast
  • 1 pound baby carrots
  • 2 large sweet potatoes
  • 1 pound green beans (may use frozen)
  • 1 pound sweet corn (may use frozen)
  • 2 large apples
  • 1/2 pound mushrooms, fresh
  • 1 large onion
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 6 cloves garlic
  • 1 quart chicken broth, low salt
  • 1 cup wine (rose or white zin)

How To Make hognob pork stew

  • Step 1
    Cube and brown pork.
  • Step 2
    Chop onions, dice garlic, slice mushrooms and saute together until tender.
  • Step 3
    Peel and chunk sweet potatoes and apples.
  • Step 4
    Halve baby carrots.
  • Step 5
    Put all ingredients in large slow cooker and set on high for 1 hour.
  • Step 6
    Reduce heat to low and cook for 6 hours.
  • Step 7
    Add salt and pepper to taste and finish cooking for 1 hour.
  • Step 8
    Serve with buttered, fresh bread of your choice and enjoy!
