  • 3 lb
    boneless pork roast
  • 1 lb
    baby carrots
  • 2 large
    sweet potatoes
  • 1 lb
    green beans (may use frozen)
  • 1 lb
    sweet corn (may use frozen)
  • 2 large
  • 1/2 lb
    mushrooms, fresh
  • 1 large
  • 1/2 c
    maple syrup
  • 6 clove
  • 1 qt
    chicken broth, low salt
  • 1 c
    wine (rose or white zin)

How to Make HogNob Pork Stew


  1. Cube and brown pork.
  2. Chop onions, dice garlic, slice mushrooms and saute together until tender.
  3. Peel and chunk sweet potatoes and apples.
  4. Halve baby carrots.
  5. Put all ingredients in large slow cooker and set on high for 1 hour.
  6. Reduce heat to low and cook for 6 hours.
  7. Add salt and pepper to taste and finish cooking for 1 hour.
  8. Serve with buttered, fresh bread of your choice and enjoy!
