Ingredients

4-5 lb
pork roast
6 medium
potatoes, peeled and quartered
1/2 pkg
baby carrots
5-6 medium
apples
1 large
onion, chopped
1 large
clove of garlic, minced
1 c
sliced mushrooms, optional
1/2 c
chicken stock or water
1-2 Tbsp
sugar, optional
1 c
apple or white wine
1 tsp
dried thyme
1 tsp
dried rosemary
1 tsp
dried sage
1 tsp
dried marjoram
1 tsp
black pepper
1/2 tsp
salt

How to Make Herbed Pork Tenderloin with Apples and Wine

Step-by-Step

  • 1Mixing well add the stock, wine, salt/pepper and herbs into your crock pot. Along with the sugar if desired.
  • 2Peel, core and quarter apples and place in the bottom of the pot.
  • 3Rinse pork roast, trim excess fat, pat dry and prick the roast all over with a fork or skewer. Place on top of the apples.
  • 4Add the potatoes, onions, mushrooms and carrots on top of the roast and sprinkle with additional herbs if desired.
  • 5Cook on medium to low heat for 8-10 hours, depending on your crock pot.
  • 6If you’d like a stronger flavor do step 1 and marinate the roast overnight.
