heinz 57 pulled pork
Recipe provided from WinCo Foods grocery. I had this on a printed card that I used until it tattered, then found it on their website, but couldn't pinch it. A great twist on the usual barbecue sauce, and perfect when it's hot outside and you don't want to heat the kitchen! Pair with some coleslaw and raw veggies and you've got a quick, tasty summer meal. Nothing says summer like barbecue pork!

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup heinz 57 sauce
- 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 3 1/2 pounds boneless pork roast
- 1/4 cup lea & perrins worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 cup tomato paste
- 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
- 1 medium red onion, chopped
How To Make heinz 57 pulled pork
-
Step 1In a 5 to 6 qt. slow cooker, mix together 57 Sauce, Worcestershire Sauce, Mustard, sugar, tomato paste and onion. Season with salt and pepper if desired. Add pork, turning until well coated. Cover and cook on low heat setting for about 8 hours, or until pork is tender, turning occasionally.
-
Step 2To serve, remove pork from slow cooker. Pull pork into shreds using two forks. Return pork to slow cooker and stir until well mixed with sauce. Spoon about 3/4 cup onto your favorite sandwich buns and serve immediately.
-
Step 3Note: Pork shoulder roasts go quickly in summertime, so you can use a large tenderloin instead. However, since those tend to be smaller and more tender, you may need to reduce your cooking time.
