hawaiian style pork chops - crock pot

I love dressed-up pork. Pork is a blah and bland piece of meat that when combined with marinades and tropical fruits takes on a wonderful flavorful meat dish.

Ingredients

  • 6 - lean boneless pork chops
  • 1 tablespoon prepared mustard
  • 2 tablespoons white wine vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • - salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 can 8 oz. pineapple chunks in juice
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 - papaya, peeled, seeded and sliced

How To Make hawaiian style pork chops - crock pot

  • Step 1
    Place chops in crock pot.
  • Step 2
    In a small bowl, combine mustard, vinegar, hoisin sauce, salt and pepper.
  • Step 3
    Drain juice from pineapple chunks and add juice to mustard mixture, reserve the pineapple chunks.
  • Step 4
    Pour the sauce over chops in the crock pot.
  • Step 5
    Cover and cook on low, 5 to 6 hours or until meat is tender.
  • Step 6
    Remove chops and keep warm.
  • Step 7
    Turn to high.
  • Step 8
    In a small bowl, dissolve cornstarch with water. Stir cornstarch mixture into the juices in the crock pot.
  • Step 9
    Cover and cook on high for 10 to 15 minutes.
  • Step 10
    Stir in pineapple chunks and papaya.
  • Step 11
    Serve chops with sauce and add coconut and macadamia nuts if desired.
