- 4 - pork shoulder steaks, cut 1/2 inches thick
- 1 tablespoon cooking oil
- 1 - 8-oz can crushed pineapple (juice pack)
- 1/2 cup chopped green sweet peppers
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons quick-cooking tapioca
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
- 2 cups hot rice

Step 1Trim fat from steaks. In a large skillet brown steaks on both sides in hot oil. Drain off fat. Transfer steaks to 3 1/2-4 quart slow cooker.

Step 2In a bowl combine undrained pineapple, sweet peppers ,brown sugar, tacioca, ketchup, soy sauce and dry mustard; pour over steaks.

Step 3Cover; cook on high setting for 3 1/2-4 hours. Skim and discard fat from suace. Serve meat and sauce over hot cooked rice. Sprinkle with macadamia nuts. If desired.
