I made this glaze for out ham last year for Easter, I saw it on foodnetwork made by Claire Robinson, and we loved it! I used a whole grain dijon this time and I made my own fig jam and it was even better! The boys devoured it! So if you don't want to make an entire ham you can use it on a ham steak and it was yummolicious! Hope you love it as much as we did!

Thanks
Monica

How to Make Ham steaks with Figgy Piggy Glaze

Step-by-Step

  1. add ingredients (other than ham steaks) in a sauce pan on low heat until well blended. Taste and adjust the flavors to your liking.
  2. Heat some unsalted butter in a cast iron pan. Place the ham steaks in the hot pan. Cook on one side till a nice crust is formed. Flip and smear with the glaze. Cook on the other side and flip. Smear that side with the glaze and place the pan in a 375 degree oven.
  3. This dish was so easy and my oldest boy just told me best ham ever! He really loves ham! lol I served this with candied carrots, and roasted garlic mashed potatoes. So good!
