This way of making ham sandwiches was very popular when my kids were in high school. You would make up a big batch with left-over holiday ham. They were frozen then, to be easily re-heated when needed. They are good sandwiches that young and old, alike, enjoyed very much.

  • 1/4 c
    butter, softened
  • 1/4 c
    dried minced onion flakes
  • 1/2 c
    prepared mustard
  • 8
    hamburger buns
  • 8 slice
    swiss cheese
  • 8 slice
    cooked ham

How To Make ham sandwiches baked in foil

    In a small bowl mix together butter, minced onion, and mustard. Spread this mixture evenly on buns. Layer ham and cheese on buns evenly. Place tops on sandwiches. Wrap each sandwich separately in foil and freeze.

    When ready to use, preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place wrapped sandwich in heated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes.
