I have never actually made or eaten this recipe as it was just handed down to me for my estranged grandmother.

Ingredients
- 3 or 5 pounds canned ham
- to taste - garlic salt
- 1/2 cup dark corn syrup
- 1/2 to 3/4 cups bbq sauce
- 1/2 to 3/4 cups orange juice, fresh or pineapple juice
How To Make ham in a can
-
Step 1Preheat oven to 375. Remove the key from the can. With a beer can opener, punch holes aroun top edge of can every inch or so, all the way around the can. Place ham in oven and bake for an hour. Remove from over and pour juice out of can through holes in lid. DO NOT OPEN THE CAN. Mix together corn syrup, bbq sauce or substitution of orange juice or pineapple juice and garlic salt. Pour this mixture into the holes in the lid of the can. Bake another 2 - 2 1/2 hours. Remove from oven, pour off sauce and open can.
-
Step 2As a side note, I used brown sugar dissolved in pinapple juice but no corn syrup. Mmmmmmmmm good!!!
