Ingredients
- 1 pound linguine, uncooked
- 1 pound fresh asparagus, cut into 1 inch spears
- 1 pound mushrooms, sliced
- 2 - carrot, thinly sliced
- 1-2 - zucchini, diced
- 2-3 cups ham, cooked and julienned
- 1/4 cup butter + 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cups half and half
- 1 cup parmesan cheese, grated
- 1 cup peas, frozen
- 5-6 - green onion, sliced
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
- 1/4 cup fresh basil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
How To Make ham and vegetable linguine

Step 1Cook linguine according to package directions.

Step 2Meanwhile, in a large skillet, saute asparagus, mushrooms, carrot, zucchini and ham in butter and olive oil until the vegetables are tender.

Step 3Add cream, peas, onions, Parmesan, basil, salt, pepper and nutmeg; bring to a boil.

Step 4Reduce heat; simmer for 3 minutes, stirring frequently.

Step 5Rinse and drain linguine; toss with vegetable sauce and serve. Sprinkle with extra Parmesan cheese if desired.
