This recipe is based loosely on a Taste of Home recipe. It's a great way to reinvent leftover ham! It's very quick and simple and uses mostly pantry ingredients.

- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 1/2 cup peas
- 1 1/2 cups ham, cubed
- 2 - cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup chicken broth

How To Make ham and tortellini skillet
-
Step 1Cook tortellini according to directions on package. Drain and set aside.
-
Step 2Melt butter over medium heat in a heavy skillet. Saute bell pepper and broccoli until slightly tender. Add ham and garlic, saute until heated through. (I let the ham get a little crispy, which was delicious)
-
Step 3Combine broth, cornstarch, and pesto and add to skillet. Bring to boil and cook until thickened.
-
Step 4Add milk or cream, tortellini, peas, and half of the cheese. Toss well. Salt and pepper to taste.
-
Step 5Sprinkle with remaining cheese and serve.
