Ham and Swiss Cheese Spaghetti Bake-Annette's

Annette W.

Have some leftover Easter ham you need to use up? This recipe is PERFECT for that? Or do you just crave a creamy comforting concoction? You won't be disappointed with this casserole. It is all of the above.

This makes a HUGE deep dish lasagna pan worth BUT can very easily be cut in half. Also, if you want a lighter version, use whole wheat pasta, fat free sour cream, low fat cream of mushroom soup and low fat cheese.

The recipe will feed an army if you make it as is. It literally FILLS the pan to the brim. Enjoy!

How to Make Ham and Swiss Cheese Spaghetti Bake-Annette's

  • 1Preheat oven to 350°. Cook spaghetti to package directions to al dente.
  • 2While spaghetti is cooking, chop up ham, onions, red bell pepper and mushrooms and put into a large bowl.
  • 3Drain spaghetti and put into a medium sized bowl. Open cream of mushroom soup and sour cream and pour on top of spaghetti. Sprinkle the black pepper on top of the sour cream and cream of mushroom soup.
  • 4Add ham and veggies to spaghetti mixture 1/3 at a time and mix to incorporate. Add 2 1/2 cups of the cheese into the mixture as well.
  • 5Grease a 9x13 deep dish lasagna pan or a 4+ quart casserole dish. Pour mixture in to prepared pan, top with remaining 1 1/2 cups of cheese.
  • 6Cover with foil. Bake covered for 45 minutes. Remove foil and bake 10 minutes, then turn to broil for 5 minutes to brown the cheese really well. You do not need to move the rack up to do the broiling.
  • 7Remove from oven and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
  • 8Serve with some nice sweet peas and a crusty bread. Enjoy!
  • 9****If you cut the recipe in half, bake in a regular 9x13 cake pan or a 3 quart casserole covered for 35-45 minutes, removing the foil and broiling for 5 minutes to brown the cheese.****
