Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 large chopped onion
  • 5 cups potatoes, sliced, cooked
  • 2 cups ham, cooked and diced
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

How To Make ham and potato casserole

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  • Step 2
    Grease a 2-quart casserole.
  • Step 3
    Melt butter; stir in flour and pepper.
  • Step 4
    Add milk and cook until thickened, stirring constantly.
  • Step 5
    Remove from heat and add onion, potatoes and ham.
  • Step 6
    Pour into prepared pan.
  • Step 7
    Top with cheddar cheese.
  • Step 8
    Bake for 45 minutes.
