Ham and Mac Bake

Nita Clapper

I love this recipe because it uses up some 'stuff' left over in my kitchen. The sweet of the apples lends loads of flavor to the somewhat salty ham. You may want to watch the mustard if you are not used to a pretty strong mustard over-taste. Enjoy

  • 2In large saucepan melt the 1/4 cup butter; blend in flour, brown sugar, mustard, salt and pepper.
  • 3Add milk all at once; cook and stir until thickened and bubbly.

  • 5Turn mixture into a 2 quart casserole.
  • 6Sprinkle bread crumbs and dot 2 tsp butter over casserole.
