As a young mother of two boys, I wanted to start our own Christmas tradition! Everyone else baked a ham but I wanted to be different! We liked ham and my boys loved mac and cheese! So,... Ham and Cheese Casserole has been OUR family tradition for 25 years!!

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds boneless ham, diced
- 16 ounces elbow macaroni, cooked
- 12 ounces sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 12 ounces mild chedder cheese, shredded
- 16 ounces cottage cheese
- 4 - eggs
- 3/4-1 cup milk
- 1/3 cup margarine
How To Make ham and cheese casserole

Step 1Preheat oven 350 degrees. Lightly spray 13x9x2" pan with cooking spray.

Step 2Cook macaroni according to package directions until almost done. Drain.

Step 3In very large bowl, combine all ingredients, saving some of the cheddar cheese for the top.

Step 4Pour into prepared pan. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until bubbly. Spread remaining cheddar over top. Cover with foil. (This will melt the cheese)

Step 5Optional: Sprinkle freshley ground black pepper before eating!!!!
