ham and broccoli quiche

I use a deep dish pie plate that will hold a double recipe of pie so this was a hearty meal. All it needs is a salad or fruit on the side! It can be put together ahead of time if needed. I will make this again soon so I can get a picture. My guys had most of it gone by the time I got home from class.

Ingredients

  • 4 - egg whites
  • 4 - large eggs
  • 1 cup milk, 2%
  • 3/4 teaspoon mustard powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, salt and pepper mix
  • 1 1/2 cups ham, small dice
  • 1 1/2 cups broccoli, chopped
  • 4 ounces cheddar cheese, sliced or shredded
  • - bacon bits, paprika optional
  • 1 - pie crust shell

How To Make ham and broccoli quiche

  • Step 1
    Line deep dish pie pan with shell, trim edges
  • Step 2
    In a medium mixing bowl, combine the first 5 ingredients. Mix well.
  • Step 3
    Put chopped ham in bottom of pie shell
  • Step 4
    Layer chopped broccoli on the ham
  • Step 5
    Layer the cheese on top of the broccoli.
  • Step 6
    Pour the egg mixture over the layers.
  • Step 7
    Sprinkle top with bacon bits or paprika if desired.
  • Step 8
    Bake in 350 oven for 35-40 minutes. Let it rest 10-15 minutes before serving.
