This my all-time favorite food! I love it so much that if there are leftovers I eat them cold straight out of the fridge.

  • 60
    won ton wrappers
  • 1 lb
    ground pork
  • 1/2
    head small cabbage finely chopped
  • 1/2 c
    carrot, shredded
  • 1/2 c
    diced onion
  • 2 Tbsp
    grated ginger
  • 2 Tbsp
    sesame oil
  • 1/4 c
    soy sauce

  • 3/4 c
    soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp
    sesame oil
  • 2 Tbsp
  • 1 1/8 tsp
    red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 tsp
    sesame seeds

How to Make Gyozas


  1. mix pork, veggies sesame oil and soy sauce
  2. place 1 heaping tablespoon in center of won ton wrapper
  3. moisten edges of won ton wrapper then foldin half, pleating edges to seal
  4. repeat steps 1 through 3 until all won ton wrappers are used but remember to keep unused wrappers slightly damp while working so they don't dry out
  5. place 2 cups peanut oil in large heavy pot or fry daddy and heat to medium high
  6. while oil is heating, mix dipping sauce ingredients and place in fridge to chill
  7. once oil is heated start placing filled won tons in oil with slotted spoon- do not crowd
  8. won tons will rise to top of oil when golden brown- turn once to make sure completely golden- approximately 4 minuteds on each side
  9. served golden, crispy won tons with dipping sauce
