This my all-time favorite food! I love it so much that if there are leftovers I eat them cold straight out of the fridge.

Ingredients

  • 60 - won ton wrappers
  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 1/2 - head small cabbage finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup carrot, shredded
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 2 tablespoons grated ginger
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • DIPPING SAUCE
  • 3/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons splenda
  • 1 1/8 teaspoons red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon sesame seeds
  • 2 CUPS PEANUT OIL FOR FRYING

How To Make gyozas

  • Step 1
    mix pork, veggies sesame oil and soy sauce
  • Step 2
    place 1 heaping tablespoon in center of won ton wrapper
  • Step 3
    moisten edges of won ton wrapper then foldin half, pleating edges to seal
  • Step 4
    repeat steps 1 through 3 until all won ton wrappers are used but remember to keep unused wrappers slightly damp while working so they don't dry out
  • Step 5
    place 2 cups peanut oil in large heavy pot or fry daddy and heat to medium high
  • Step 6
    while oil is heating, mix dipping sauce ingredients and place in fridge to chill
  • Step 7
    once oil is heated start placing filled won tons in oil with slotted spoon- do not crowd
  • Step 8
    won tons will rise to top of oil when golden brown- turn once to make sure completely golden- approximately 4 minuteds on each side
  • Step 9
    served golden, crispy won tons with dipping sauce
