i like the thick cut steaks for the grill.....the wood chip flavors are up to u... i've tried several like the fruit or hickory the best

Ingredients

  • 1
    pork steak pre person
  • 1 Tbsp
    onion powder
  • 1 Tbsp
    garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    seasoned salt
  • 1 tsp
    fresh ground pepper
  • 1 pinch
    ground ginger
  • 1/2 gal
    apple juice, unsweetened
  • 2 c
    apple wood chips[follow pkg directions for foil use]

How to Make grilled pork steak

Step-by-Step

  1. day before: mix all spices together in small bowl....put apple juice in shallow bowl[jus enough to moisten meat]
  2. take each steak dip in apple juice then sprinkle spices on it do each pork steak.... then place steaks in gal zip bag add 1/2 the juice to bag put in fridge
  3. several times durin day flip bag of steaks
  4. fire up grill..... drain steaks well take more of spices and sprinkle on steaks before putin on grill where foil wrapped wood chips are at... cook til steaks done....basting with more of the apple juice as it cooks can add b'bque sauce last 10 min cookin time but are good without it
