Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds pork belly, cut into 4 portions
- 4 tablespoons whole grain mustard
- 1 cup soy sauce
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 inch piece ginger, grated
- 1/2 tablespoon chili crisp
- 3 scallions, large chop
- chives, for garnish
How To Make ginger braised pork belly

Step 1Rub the whole grain mustard all over the pork belly and let it sit at room temperature for 1 hour.

Step 2Mix the soy sauce, honey, sugar, ginger, chili crisp, and garlic.

Step 3Place a Dutch oven on the stove. Place a little olive oil in the pan and add the pork belly skin side down. Let the fat render off and get crispy for about 30 minutes.

Step 4Turn the pork belly over and add the soy sauce mixture. Add a cup of water and cover.

Step 5Cook over low heat for 2 to 2 1/2 hours.

Step 6Cook uncovered the last 30 minutes.

Step 7Remove from the sauce and garnish with chives.
