gina's spaghetti sauce
This sauce is very popular among my family members and friends. The fresh herbs are the key! It's a great way to have a delicious, but simple meal for a large group.

Ingredients
- 1 pound sweet italian sausage
- 1 pound ground pork
- 1 medium onion - minced
- 1 - sweet red pepper - chopped
- 4 cloves garlic - minced
- 32 ounces chopped tomatoes
- 32 ounces tomato sauce
- 12 ounces tomato paste
- 1 cup water
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 3 tablespoons fresh chopped parsley
- 1 tablespoon fresh chopped basil
- 1 tablespoon fresh chopped oregano
- 1 tablespoon fresh chopped marjoram
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon red cayenne pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon hot red pepper flakes
- 1 large can of sliced mushrooms
How To Make gina's spaghetti sauce

Step 1Brown meat with onion, pepper and garlic. Drain excess fat.

Step 2In large pot, add all ingredients, except mushrooms. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 2 to 4 hours, making sure to stir occasionally. Don't let it stick!

Step 3About 10 minutes before serving, add mushrooms.

Step 4This makes about 2 1/2 quarts of sauce.
