This sauce is very popular among my family members and friends. The fresh herbs are the key! It's a great way to have a delicious, but simple meal for a large group.

1 lb
ground pork
1 medium
onion - minced
sweet red pepper - chopped
4 clove
garlic - minced
32 oz
chopped tomatoes
32 oz
tomato sauce
12 oz
tomato paste
1 c
2 tsp
3 Tbsp
fresh chopped parsley
1 Tbsp
fresh chopped basil
1 Tbsp
fresh chopped oregano
1 Tbsp
fresh chopped marjoram
1 Tbsp
1/4 tsp
red cayenne pepper
1/4 tsp
hot red pepper flakes
1 large
can of sliced mushrooms

How to Make Gina's Spaghetti Sauce


  • 1Brown meat with onion, pepper and garlic. Drain excess fat.
  • 2In large pot, add all ingredients, except mushrooms. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 2 to 4 hours, making sure to stir occasionally. Don't let it stick!
  • 3About 10 minutes before serving, add mushrooms.
  • 4This makes about 2 1/2 quarts of sauce.
