This is an orphaned recipe I've not tried yet. Sounds really good!

Ingredients

  • 1.5 lb
    ground beef
  • 1/2 lb
    ground pork
  • 1/2 c
    finely chopped onion
  • 1 c
    applesauce
  • 1 c
    bread crumbs
  • 3 Tbsp
    ketchup
  • 2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    black pepper

How to Make German Applesauce Meatloaf

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. Lightly oil a 9x5x3" loaf pan.
  3. In a large bowl, combine all ingredients and mix well.
  4. Place the meatloaf mixture in the prepared pan.
  5. Bake for 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
  6. Let cool 10-15 minutes.
  7. Turn the loaf out of the pan.
  8. Slice and serve.
