This is an orphaned recipe I've not tried yet. Sounds really good!

1.5 lb
ground beef
1/2 lb
ground pork
1/2 c
finely chopped onion
1 c
applesauce
1 c
bread crumbs
3 Tbsp
ketchup
2 tsp
salt
1/4 tsp
black pepper

How to Make German Applesauce Meatloaf

Step-by-Step

  • 1Preheat oven to 350.
  • 2Lightly oil a 9x5x3" loaf pan.
  • 3In a large bowl, combine all ingredients and mix well.
  • 4Place the meatloaf mixture in the prepared pan.
  • 5Bake for 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
  • 6Let cool 10-15 minutes.
  • 7Turn the loaf out of the pan.
  • 8Slice and serve.
