I made this delicious garlic pork tonight, by doctoring one of my other recipes and the kids did all but lick their plates. I actually had to make another batch. I hope you try it and love it as much as they did. Enjoy!

yield 3 - 4 depending how hearty of appetite you're cooking for.

Ingredients

  • PREP TIME DOESN'T INCLUDE MARINATING THE MEAT, IF YOU WANT EXTRA SAUCE - DOUBLE THE INGREDIENTS
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 1/2 pounds pork loin ribeye roast, sliced 1 /2 inch sltrips
  • 1/4 - 1/2 teaspoon each - red pepper flakes and black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil & corn starch
  • 1 tablespoon jarred garlic
  • 1/4 cup ea - soy sauce, honey and water
  • 1 - 10 ounces bag, sugar snap peas - cooked - just until brilliant green - or could use an assortment of veggies
  • 1 small zucchini, cut in half and sliced 1/4 inch thick
  • prepared - rice

How To Make ~ garlic pork & veggies ~

  • Step 1
    in a large bowl, mix the honey, soy sauce, water, peppers, sesame oil and corn starch. Marinate meat for at least an hour. Have your peas cooked according to package. Make sure not to over cook.
  • Step 2
    In a wok or large skillet, add 1 tablespoon vegetable oil, over medium high heat. You want it hot enough to cook quickly, like stir frying. Once hot enough, add the meat. separating so it cooks evenly. ( save sauce )Toss with spatula or shake pan often.. When pork is about cooked, add the zucchini and cook another 1 - 2 minutes.
  • Step 3
    Pour the remaining sauce into the pan and stir and cook until thickened. (If you like a lot of sauce, double the sauce ingredients.) Add the peas and toss to coat and cook just until warmed through. Serve pork over rice. Delicious!
