frickadellars (danish style meatballs)
These are really good meatballs , I like to serve them on a bed of rice or buttered pasta. I got this recipe from my Grandma Rose years ago and still make them several times a year.

Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 pound ground pork
- 3 medium potatoes , cooked and mashed
- 1 medium onion , finely chopped
- 2 1/2 cups flour ; divided
- 1 - egg , beaten
- 4 tablespoons milk
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
- 1/2 cup mushrooms , sliced ; optional
How To Make frickadellars (danish style meatballs)

Step 1Combine all the ingredients EXCEPT 1 cup flour , soup and mushrooms.

Step 2Shape mixture into 32 meat balls ; Roll in 1 cup flour.

Step 3Fry in hot grease until browned.

Step 4Place meat balls in a greased casserole in layers with soup between each layer.

Step 5Top with mushrooms.

Step 6Bake @ 325° for 1 hour.
