My friend from Puerto Rico told me that he marinates a fresh pork butt or shoulder overnight before he roasts it. I got the idea of cooking it in the crock pot with a bottle of malta, It tenderizes the meat so well and gives it a wonderful flavor!

- 6 pounds fresh pork butt or shoulder
- 1 bottle malta

Step 1rub roast with salt, pepper and garlic powder and place in crock pot Pour one bottle of Malta over roast

Step 2Cook on low for 8 hours or on high for 5 hours
