This is really good smoky creamy and a new way to use hot dogs. Can't beat that

Ingredients

  • 1 package frankfurters
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 large onion chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon each dill weed and caraway seeds
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 - cube beef bouillon
  • 1 cup drained sauerkraut
  • 2 cups sour cream
  • 8 ounces cooked elbow macaroni

How To Make frankfurter goulash

  • Step 1
    Cut the frankfurters in half lengthwise and then in half. Melt the butter in Dutch oven and saute onion, garlic, and paprika.
  • Step 2
    Add the frankfurters, dill, caraway, bouillon cube and water. Bring to a boil and reduce to a simmer and simmer 10 minutes.
  • Step 3
    Add the sauerkraut and simmer 5 more minutes. Add the sour cream and cooked macaroni. Cook until heated through.
