  • 1 pkg
  • 2 Tbsp
  • 1 large
    onion chopped
  • 3 clove
    garlic minced
  • 1 Tbsp
  • 1 tsp
    each dill weed and caraway seeds
  • 1 c
  • 1
    cube beef bouillon
  • 1 c
    drained sauerkraut
  • 2 c
    sour cream
  • 8 oz
    cooked elbow macaroni

How to Make Frankfurter Goulash


  1. Cut the frankfurters in half lengthwise and then in half. Melt the butter in Dutch oven and saute onion, garlic, and paprika.
  2. Add the frankfurters, dill, caraway, bouillon cube and water. Bring to a boil and reduce to a simmer and simmer 10 minutes.
  3. Add the sauerkraut and simmer 5 more minutes. Add the sour cream and cooked macaroni. Cook until heated through.
