Just made this up for Sherri's contest. It is loosely based on sandwich I had called The Elena Rouse at a place called Woody's in Chapel Hill, NC. that has since closed.

5-6 slice
roasted garlic and herb pork tenderloin
2 slice
rye bread
2 slice
swiss cheese
3 slice
brie cheese
fresh strawberries, enough to cover the pork
1 1/2 Tbsp
hot red pepper jelly, i use uncle gary's gourmet pepper jelly now
1 1/2 Tbsp
cream cheese
1 tsp
dijon mustard
3 dash(es)
hot sauce
2 Tbsp
soft butter
scallions cut in 3 " portions
red lettuce, leaves
salt and pepper to taste
optional: drizzel with basalmic vinegar after it is cooked.

How to Make Fancy Nancy's Sweet and Savory Sammie


  • 1Butter bread on one side of each slice. Mix cream cheese with hot sauce and Dijon. Spread bottom with slice with dijon mixture. Spread top slice with red pepper jelly.
  • 2Assemble remaining ingredients how you would like to. I put the swiss on the bottom slice and the brie under the top slice. Grill until cheese is melted and bread is golden.
