eric's ham and ham and potato soup
I came across this recipe a while back. It was awesome but Eric made a few changes to it last weekend and I must admit I think I could of eaten all by myself!! P.S you can add more ham that I have given in this recipe I think we added around 3 cups last time. Enjoy

Ingredients
- 4 cups potatoes, diced
- 1/3 cup celery, diced
- 1/2 cup onion, chopped
- 2 cups ham, diced
- 3 1/4 cups water
- 2 1/2 tablespoons chicken base
- - salt and pepper to taste
- 5 tablespoons butter
- 5 tablespoons flour
- 2 cups milk
- - ham bone
How To Make eric's ham and ham and potato soup

Step 1Combine the potatoes, celery, onion, ham, ham bone,chicken base, salt & pepper and water in a stock pot. Bring to boil , then cook over medium heat until potatoes are tender. About 15 minutes.

Step 2In a separate saucepan, melt butter over medium-low heat. Whisk in flour and cook stirring constantly for about a minute. Slowly whisk in milk making sure not to allow lumps to form. Continue stirring over medium-low heat until thicken. 5 to 7 minutes

Step 3Remove ham bone from the stockpot

Step 4Stir the milk sauce into the stockpot, Cook the soup until heated through. Then serve. Enjoy
