How to Make Eric's Ham and Ham and Potato Soup
- Combine the potatoes, celery, onion, ham, ham bone,chicken base, salt & pepper and water in a stock pot. Bring to boil , then cook over medium heat until potatoes are tender. About 15 minutes.
- In a separate saucepan, melt butter over medium-low heat. Whisk in flour and cook stirring constantly for about a minute. Slowly whisk in milk making sure not to allow lumps to form. Continue stirring over medium-low heat until thicken. 5 to 7 minutes
- Remove ham bone from the stockpot
- Stir the milk sauce into the stockpot, Cook the soup until heated through. Then serve. Enjoy
