easy red beans and rice
I got this recipe a few years ago from my secretary and my family just loves it. They make it for their own families now.lt is also a good dish to take to a potluck dinner. You never bring any home and it's a good idea to copy the recipe for hand outs because you will be asked. It's easy, but tastes like you spent all day on it.

Ingredients
- 1 pound jimmy dean sausage {maple flavored)
- 3 cans red beans
- 3 packages brown gravy mix
- 3 tablespoons creole seasoning
- 1 teaspoon ground, black pepper (optional)
- 3 cups water
- 2 packages success rice, cooked and drained
How To Make easy red beans and rice

Step 1Cook rice, drain and put aside

Step 2In a large skillet or dutch oven, brown sausage...Drain if you need to.

Step 3Add in the three cans of red beans. You do not need to drain them

Step 4Mix the three packages of gravy mix with the three cups of water. Stir well and pour into the bean mixture.

Step 5Stir until mixture thickens....Add creole seasoning and pepper (if needed). Stir in rice. Serve with hot bread and a salad....Wonderful comfort food...
