How to Make Double Cheesey Beef & Sausage Pizza

  • 1Dissolve yeast in water in a large bowl; let stand 5 minutes. Stir in oil and salt. Stir in enough flour to make a soft dough. Knead several times.
  • 2Cover and let rise in a warm spot for 1 hour then knead for several minutes.
  • 3Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead about 8 - 10 minutes or until smooth and elastic.
  • 4Sprinkle cornmeal over two lightly greased 12 inch pizza pans.
  • 5Roll out the dough either by hand or with a rolling pin and place in lightly greased pizza pans or on screens. Fold over the edges to form crust.
  • 6Spread tomato sauce evenly over each pizza crust, leaving a 1/2 inch border around pizza edges.
  • 7Sprinkle with garlic and oregano evenly over each pizza.
  • 8Cook ground beef and sausage until browned. Drain well. Sprinkle meat mixture and bacon over each pizza. Top with mushrooms.
  • 9Layer sliced provolone cheese over the top then sprinkle with shredded mozzarella cheese.
  • 10Bake at 375 for 20 - 25 minutes. Remove from oven, slice with a pizza wheel and serve.
