I had not made pizza in ages. The Boyett family "our family members" and some other friends came over this weekend and I thought that I would make some pizza. Donna loved this pizza so I thought it only fitting to name it after my dear friend. I hope that you enjoy it as much as we did. Happy Cooking sw:)

Ingredients

  • 1 can pillsbury thin pizza crust
  • 3-4 ounces proscuitto, thinly sliced
  • 2-3 - roma tomatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 small fresh fennel root, thinly sliced
  • 1 small onion, thinly sliced
  • 4 ounces portabella mushrooms, sliced
  • 6-8 large fresh basil leaves, torn
  • 4-6 ounces fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon roasted garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon italian seasoning, dried
  • 3 tablespoons evoo
  • 1 pinch crushed red pepper (optional)
  • - olive oil spray

How To Make donna b's italian pizza

  • Step 1
    Saute mushrooms in a large heated skillet with 2 tbsp of olive oil until golden brown. Remove from skillet. Saute onion and fennel slices in 1 tbsp evoo until soft. Remove from skillet. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a little olive oil spray on a large oven proof pan. Roll out pizza crust on pan. To Make your pizza: Start off with a layer tomatoes sprinkled with some of the italian seasoning and roasted garlic powder, cheese, basil, proscuitto, onion and fennel, mushrooms, more cheese and italian seasoning. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until crust is golden brown and cheese has melted. Nice and gooey!
