How to Make Danish Puff Pork Chops
- Oven preheated 350
Bake 35-45 minutes uncovered; cheese will puff and look golden brown
- Brown chops on one side in olive oil. Place in a baking dish brown side up. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Meanwhile in a saucepan, melt butter, add flour cook 1 minute medium heat, stirring constantly, add milk, continue to stir until boils and is thick. Remove from heat, add egg, beat until smooth. Stir in onion and cheese. Cook on low until cheese melts and is smooth. Spoon 1/4 cup on top of each chop, spread to edge of chops. Bake and serve.
