My Father is a Retired FDNY Firefighter and did a lot of the cooking at his firehouse. This is one of his dishes that is a comfort food to me. Great on a Cold Winters night.

2 Tbsp
spicy brown mustard
black pepper

How to Make Dad's Firehouse Pork Chops


  • 1First place 1/2 of the Sauerkraut in the bottom of a 9 X 13 baking pan
  • 2Place Chops on top of Sauerkraut and brush with the Mustard, then sprinkle with Black Pepper.
  • 3Place remaining Sauerkraut on top of chops and cover with aluminum foil. Bake at 350 for one hour. Uncover when there is 15 mins cook time left.
  • 4This goes very well with Baked Potatoes and Green Beans.
