Got this one from my mother-in-law. Cooking in the crockpot makes is very easy.

Ingredients

  • 4 - boneless pork chops
  • 1 large onion, sliced thin
  • 3 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 15 ounces chicken broth
  • 4 ounces green chilies
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 2 packages pork gravy
  • 1 pound tomatillo's, chopped
  • 1 - green pepper, chopped
  • 1/2 cup cilantro, chopped
  • - onion powder, to taste
  • - salt, to taste
  • - pepper, to taste
  • - jalapeno pepper, to taste

How To Make crockpot chili verde

  • Step 1
    Put pork chops in crock pot. Mix chicken broth and gravy in large bowl. Add rest of ingredients to broth and gravy mix. Pour over meat.
  • Step 2
    Cook on high 4 hrs or low 7-8 hours.
  • Step 3
    15 minutes before done, mix some flour & water together till smooth. Wisk into chili verde till smooth. Shred any pork that isn't already shredded. Cover and cook on high 15-20 minutes.
  • Step 4
    Put some verde inside a warmed tortilla, add some cheese. Wrap up buritto-styled, put more verde on top and add sour cream, guacamole, cheese, olives, etc. Serve with mexican rice and refried beans.
