  • 3 1/2 pounds pork shoulder butt
  • 6 ounces tomato paste
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1 cup red wine
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder

How To Make crock pot sweet & smoky pulled pork

  • Step 1
    Trim as much fat off the pork shoulder as possible but don't worry about getting it all.
  • Step 2
    Mix all your ingredients until everything is well blended.
  • Step 3
    Place pork shoulder in the crock pot and pour your mixed ingredients over it then set to low for 8 hours.
  • Step 4
    After 8 hours your pulled pork should fall apart easily in the crock pot by just using tongs to separate it.
