- 1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1 cup red wine
- 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon chili powder

Step 1Trim as much fat off the pork shoulder as possible but don't worry about getting it all.

Step 2Mix all your ingredients until everything is well blended.

Step 3Place pork shoulder in the crock pot and pour your mixed ingredients over it then set to low for 8 hours.

Step 4After 8 hours your pulled pork should fall apart easily in the crock pot by just using tongs to separate it.
