Ingredients
- 3 pounds country style pork ribs (bone in or out)
- 4 large sweet potatoes
- 1 medium onions, vidalia, peeled
- 2 medium apples
- 2 cups apple cider
- 1 cup dark brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground pepper
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
How To Make crock pot ribs

Step 1In large skillet, heat olive oil and minced garlic. Add ribs and brown on all sides. Remove ribs when brown and set aside on plate. Peel and chunk sweet potatoes and onions. Core and chunk apples, (peel or leave un-peeled). Place sweet potatoes, apples and onions in large bowl with salt, pepper, nutmeg and brown sugar, toss to coat. Layer ribs and veggie mixture into crock pot, alternately starting with ribs on bottom. Add apple juice to pot. Cook on low for 6-8 hours.
