  • 3 1/2 - 4 lb
    pork roast
  • 2 Tbsp
    brown sugar
  • 1 tsp
    cayenne pepper
  • 2 tsp
  • 1 tsp
  • 12 oz
    coke, caffeine free if possible
  • 1 c
    chicken broth
  • 2 clove
    garlic, minced
  • 1 large
    onion, chopped
  • 1/3 c
    brown sugar

How to Make Crock Pot Pulled Pork, Sweet and Tender


  1. The night before, combine 2 Tb. brown sugar, cayenne pepper, cumin, and salt. Rub on roast. Put in crock pot on LOW all night.
  2. Next morning: Add coke, chicken broth, garlic and onions. Keep on LOW until ready to serve.
  3. About 1 hour before serving, shred roast and add 1/3 cup brown sugar.

    Makes great burritos, tacos, and sandwiches.
