Crock Pot Pork Roast

While in Nebraska this past two weeks, spending time with my Grandmother, I threw together a new recipe, I'm not one for a crock pot, but was willing to try something new, I must say, it really turned out great :) can;t wait to do it again, Enjoy!!

Slow Cooker Crock Pot


3 lb
pork roast
1/4 c
4 tsp
adobe seasoning (found in the mexican food isle at walmart)
2 tsp
garlic powder
1/8 tsp
1/4 tsp
sea salt
3 tsp
rosemary, dried
4 Tbsp
chopped red peppers
1/2 large
chopped onion
1/4 c


1place your crock pot on high, place roast in the crock pot, add water.
2Then add honey, then add all ingredients on top of the honey so it sticks to the roast,cook on high for 6-7 1/2 hours.
3Check roast and make sure it has reached a internal cooked temperature of 145* measured with a food thermometer, followed by a three-minute rest time.
4Pork Gravy: (optional)

1/2 to 1 c of pork broth from the bottom of the crock pot.

3 Tbls of corn starch

3/4 c water

salt and pepper to taste

Place pork broth in a medium size skillet, bring to a boil, add corn starch and whisk till smooth, add water alittle at a time, until you reach the thickness of gravy you desire. add salt and pepper to taste, simmer and stir for 3-4 min, until thick, place over meat and add mashed potatoes to your dinner, and Enjoy!!!
