crock pot crown royal ginger pork chops

I bought some thin-cut pork chops on sale and now had to come up with something interesting to do with them. So I put on my creative hat, searched the pantry and this is the result - a little spicy, a little sweet and very savory. Hope you like them!

Ingredients For crock pot crown royal ginger pork chops

1 lgonion, sliced thin (i used a mandolin)

2 Tbspolive oil, drizzled over onions

4thin cut boneless pork chops

2 tspcornstarch, sprinkled over chops

2 tspgarlic, minced

1/2 tspcrushed red pepper flakes

1 tspginger powder
-
2 Tbspbrown sugar (i used splenda brown sugar)

3 Tbspsoy sauce
-
3 Tbspbalsamic vinegar
-
1/4 cginger liqueur
-
1/4 ccrown royal whiskey (or similar quality)

1 cbeef broth
-
8 ozpasta of choice, uncooked (i used small shells)

salt and pepper, to taste

cooking spray
How To Make crock pot crown royal ginger pork chops

1Spray crock pot with cooking spray.

2Place all ingredients, except pasta, in crock pot in order listed. Cook on high for 4 hours or until pork chops are fork tender and juices run clear.

3One half hour before end of cooking time, carefully remove pork chops from crock pot. Stir all ingredients and add pasta, ensuring it is covered by liquid. Add additional beef broth or water to cover, if necessary. Return chops to crock pot and continue to cook 30 minutes on high until pasta is tender. Plate chops on top of pasta and enjoy!

4NOTE: For those of you who do not cook with spirits, replace the whiskey and ginger liqueur with 1/2 cup beef broth, 2 Tbsp of lemon juice and an additional 1/4 tsp ginger powder.
