I got this sweet and spicy recipe from my daughter. We make this at least one a month because it's so good! The Dr. Pepper helps to offset the chipotle. Use less or more chipotle to suit your taste buds!

Slow Cooker Crock Pot

1-2 medium
white onion, quartered
chipotle peppers in adobo sauce
3 Tbsp
adobo sauce
1-2 tsp
minced garlic
20 oz
bottle dr pepper
1/4 c
bbq sauce
2 Tbsp
brown sugar
3-4 lb
pork roast or shoulder
1-2 Tbsp
liquid smoke flavoring

How to Make Crock Pot Chipotle Pork


  • 1Chop onion in large pieces and place in crock pot. Place the pork over onions. Mix the rest of ingredients well and pour over Pork.
  • 2Cook on low for 8 hours. Remove pork and shred. Use or discard the juices. You can use the meat in burritos, tacos or sandwiches.
