creamy ham and noodle bake
This was my late mother-in-law's favorite, and when she was expected to recover from cancer, I made a great big pan of this as a "welcome home from the hospital" meal. My in-laws, with whom she stayed with, are particular about what they eat, but when my sister-in-law sampled it, she went right back for seconds. This might become one of your family's favorite, too.

Ingredients
- 4 ounces medium egg noodles
- 1 tablespoon cooking oil
- 2 cups ham steak, cut into cubes and fat trimmed.
- 1 medium green pepper, chopped
- 1/2 cup onion, chopped
- 1/4 cup celery, chopped
- 1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
How To Make creamy ham and noodle bake

Step 1Preheat the over to 350 degrees. Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain.

Step 2Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat, and cook ham and next three ingredients for 5 minutes, stirring often.

Step 3Remove from heat; stir in soup, sour cream, and pasta. Spoon into a 9 in baking dish

Step 4Cover and bake for 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Sprinkle with cheese, and bake, uncovered, 5 more minutes. Let stand 10 minutes before serving to allow mixture to thicken and sauce to cook.
